Spectra 5 is Fun!

40 Kia Spectra 5 is Fun!

The 2009 Kia Spectra5 will set consumers back around $17,000 but the fun you will have driving it will make it all worth your trouble.  While the seats are reportedly uncomfortable, consumers need to remember that they are not purchasing the luxurious and comfort vehicles you would find at Mercedes-Benz Lexington.  The hatchback design of the Spectra5 is not the typical hatchback you find on the Chevrolet Aveo, which you can find at any North Carolina Chevrolet Dealer.  It is more comparable to the design of the Passat Wagon, and there are plenty of VW Deals available at a Volkswagen dealership.

The Spectra5 is the upgraded version of the Kia Spectra sedan, and is currently available in just the SX trim.  Its most recent design change happened in 2005, and further advances have been minor throughout the years.  You still get the famous Kia warranty of 10 years 100,000 miles and the base price starts around $17,000.  Standard base models still come with an impressive list of standard features that make it a great value.

The Kia Spectra5 gets an impressive 30 mpg on the highway and 23 mpg around town.  U.S. News further praises the Spectra5 for its industry-leading warranty and the superb handling drivers will experience from the sporty suspension.  Common complaints are that the front seats are not comfortable on long distance driving trips and that such a standard safety feature of anti-lock brakes is optional and costs extra.  But again, there are not many optional features to choose from when you figure that the MSRP prices range from $16,695 to $17,695.

Despite lacking anti-lock brakes, the Spectra5 still earned an Excellent rating of 9.3 for safety from U.S. News as it did exceptionally well during crash tests.  The exterior finish is an unusual design and ends up being far more stylish than your typical five-door hatchback.  Besides the front seats lacking cushion, the rest of the interior cabin is sleek and comfortable with many features that demonstrate Kia took some time perfecting every detail.  Multi-compartment storage features, auxiliary radio jack, and several charging outlets that are conveniently hidden and out of the way will help drivers stay organized.  Make sure you take some time to test drive this fun and functional hatchback from Kia!
