Kia Optima Takes on the Ford Fusion!

Affordable small cars is a competitive category. Domination comes and goes year by year, and one brand on top one year will not always be on top. The Kia Optima has been in the running for a long time, and new entry Ford Fusion, which is available at Ford East Petersburg, is high in the rankings according to U.S. News. The hybrid Ford model ranks number one in the category and the non-hybrid ranks number four; you can call Ford Dealer Quotes for more information about pricing. Interested shoppers should go to Peoria Volkswagen to see if they have any used models of either and save some money!
The 2010 Kia Optima ranked 17 out of 22 vehicles for the U.S. News category affordable midsize cars. The price is great and MSRP starts out at $17,995 and tops out at $22,795. Low prices and a fantastic Kia warranty make this hard to beat. The interior is reported to be roomy and comfortable by drivers and passengers, as well as offering decreased levels of road noise. The Optima makes a great commuter car when you consider that it gets 22 mpg going around town and 32 mpg when on the highway. The exterior is fairly generic, and the optional V6 engine is smaller than most of the competition.
The 2010 Ford Fusion will be reviewed here as the non-hybrid version. Drivers can expect to get about 22 mpg in the city and slightly less than the Kia, 31 mpg on the highway. The price of the Fusion is a little more than the Kia as well, with base MSRP of $19,695 and increasing to $28,355. Something multi-purpose drivers will appreciate is the option for all-wheel drive on a midsize car. The interior cabin is roomy and comfortable and features the famous Ford Sync technology.
Price and warranty versus bells and whistles is what it ultimately comes down to. Take a day and go test drive both of them, as well as some of the other competition before making a choice.
