The U.S. government is probing potential steering problems in the 2010 Kia Soul.   The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration received a complaint of complete loss of control of the vehicle, and the Kia Soul for 2010 was reported to have this problem.  There were no complaints received about steering from other models like the Chevy Equinox which can be purchased from a Cincinnati Chevy Dealer or other local Chevy dealer.  There are several features on the 2010 Kia Soul and it is one of the most popular small vehicles in the country along with some Mazda models which are seen at a Pittsburgh Mazda dealership, but the 2010 Kia Soul may end up having a steering problem depending on how the investigation turns out.

Also be sure to check out Arizona Volkswagen dealerships for some of the latest and safest Volkswagen models that have rare defects.  The new Kia Soul is reported to have the steering shaft detach from the steering wheel resulting in a complete loss of steering.  In the complaint, the driver said that the shaft also fell and began to interfering with braking as well.  The owner who filed the complaint drove the vehicle for 4,300 miles, bought it new, and had owned it for 2 months.

The Kia Soul for 2010 was considered to be one of the safest vehicle models and it won a number of industry awards.  The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety rated the Kia Soul as the number one safest vehicle model and gave the vehicle high ratings for front, side, and other impact crash tests.  The Soul is still a great and safe vehicle, however there might be a problem with steering that may affect 50,000 vehicles or more in the United States and may potentially after other vehicles throughout the world.  Kia will likely conduct its own investigation along with the government’s investigation.
